About the role

Desi Look Hair Salon in Tamworth is looking for an experienced barber and hairdresser to join a busy team. This is a hands-on, full-time role for someone who enjoys hair care, grooming and strong customer service. Day to day the work covers cutting with scissors, clippers and razors, shampooing and conditioning, and colouring, straightening and perming with chemical solutions. The role also includes shaving and trimming beards and moustaches, styling into dreadlocks and braids, adding extensions, and cleaning, colouring, cutting and styling wigs and hairpieces when needed. Staff advise clients on hair care, beauty products and styles, book appointments and take payments, and keep work areas clean and tools sanitised. They are after someone with a relevant qualification or trade experience, sound knowledge of current cutting, colouring and chemical techniques, and good communication skills. The person needs to be reliable, punctual and well presented and able to work at pace. Pay is 80,000 to 85,000 per year.
