Barber, full-time

About the role

Barbers R Us in Atwell is looking for an experienced full-time barber to join their team. They are after someone confident across a wide range of modern and traditional services who can deliver strong customer service and keep the shop clean and professional. Day to day work covers consulting with clients on styles, hair care and grooming products, cutting and styling with scissors, clippers and razors, and performing skin fades, taper fades, line-ups and beard fades. The role also includes beard shaping, hot towel shaves, eyebrow trimming, shampooing and scalp treatments, plus colouring, straightening and chemical services where needed. Braids and dreadlocks may be requested, and experience with extensions or hair replacement systems is preferred but not essential. Other duties include managing appointments, processing payments, sanitising tools and taking occasional photos and clips for social media. Applicants need a Certificate III or higher with at least two years on-the-job training, or three years of industry experience. The salary is 76,000 to 80,000 per year depending on experience.
