Barber, full-time

About the role

A friendly salon team in Granville is looking for a qualified barber or hairdresser to join them in a permanent full-time role of 38 or more hours per week. The position covers weekdays with weekend work on a roster. Pay is set at the minimum award rate plus superannuation. Day to day work includes cutting, trimming and styling hair to suit each customer's instructions, hair type and facial features, using clippers, scissors, trimmers and razors. Staff also shampoo, rinse, condition and dry hair and scalp, and apply setting, straightening or waving solutions as needed. Applicants need relevant qualifications and at least one year of experience. A police check and a valid working visa are required. The team is described as skilled and welcoming. Free drinks are offered on site. The role is in person at the Granville salon.
