About the role

Desi Look Hair Salon in Tamworth is after an experienced barber and hairdresser to join a busy team. This is a hands-on, permanent full-time role for someone who enjoys hair care, grooming and strong customer service. The work covers cutting with scissors, clippers and razors, shaving and trimming beards and moustaches, and colouring, straightening and permanent waving with chemical solutions. Staff also style hair into dreadlocks and braids, add extensions, and clean, colour, cut and style wigs and hairpieces as needed. Other duties include shampooing, conditioning scalps, advising on hair care and products, booking appointments, taking payments and keeping the work area clean with sanitised tools. They want a qualified or trade-experienced barber or hairdresser with sound knowledge of current techniques across cutting, colouring and chemical treatments. Applicants should be reliable, punctual and well presented, with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting. Pay is 80,000 to 85,000 dollars a year and visa sponsorship is available.
