About the role

Cutting Edge Salon in Melbourne is after an experienced barber to join a busy shop and serve a growing clientele. The role covers high-quality haircuts, skin fades, tapers, beard grooming and traditional straight-razor hot towel shaves. They want someone who runs detailed consultations, builds lasting client relationships to keep rebooking rates high, and educates clients on grooming products such as pomades, oils and shampoos to hit retail targets. The successful barber will also keep a spotless workstation, sterilise tools between appointments and help with general shop cleanliness. They are looking for at least 2 to 3 years of professional barbering experience in a busy environment, expert skill with classic and modern cuts, a Certificate III in Barbering or equivalent and valid local licensing. Pay is a stable base hourly wage plus uncapped commission on services and retail sales, and staff keep 100 percent of their tips. Ongoing professional development and training are offered.
