Gem Barber is after an experienced barber to join their small team at 54 Marcus Clarke Street in Canberra City. The shop sits near the ANU and surrounding offices, away from the rush of a busy shopping centre, and is built around a calm, professional and welcoming experience for clients and staff. They run a relaxed appointment schedule that gives each booking the time it deserves. Trading is Tuesday to Saturday, and the role is available as either permanent full-time or part-time. Day to day, the barber delivers modern and classic men's haircuts, fades, scissor work and beard grooming, listens closely to clients, communicates well and keeps their station and tools clean. They want someone with at least two years of barbering experience, training or study, who is reliable, punctual and works well in a small, respectful team. Pay runs from 30 to 40 dollars per hour, with room for pay and responsibilities to grow over time. A portfolio of recent work is required with applications.
