Experienced barber, part-time chair

About the role

Ellevate Hair Studio is an independent barbershop in Elsternwick focused on quality work, good service and a place both clients and barbers enjoy. They are ready to add another experienced barber to the team. The role starts at 2 to 3 days per week including Saturdays, with genuine scope for more days as the shop and your bookings grow. You will work alongside Gian, the founder and senior barber, who has 19 years of experience and a background as a barbering educator. The shop runs regular workshops and shares techniques, so there is room to develop. They are after someone with at least 4 years of professional experience who can run their own chair independently, with strong scissor work, fades, classic and modern cuts, beard work and longer styles, plus solid consultation skills and reliability. Pay is 32 to 40 dollars per hour plus super depending on experience, along with retail commission and performance based bonuses. Applicants need the legal right to work in Australia.
