About the role

Nature Of A Habit is after a Head Barber for their Strand Arcade store in the Sydney CBD. The role involves cutting a full client column every day while also setting the standard for the team: quality of the cut, how clients are greeted and the overall feel of the shop. They want someone to train and mentor junior barbers, run onboarding for new starters, coach the team on product and lift retail sales, and have input into hiring. There is also some involvement in social content. Candidates need strong technical skill across classic and contemporary cuts, including precise fades and tapers, scissor and clipper-over-comb work, point cutting and advanced sectioning. The ability to teach others or a genuine desire to learn is important, and razor shaving is a bonus. Pay is a base of 90,000 to 95,000 plus a bonus tied to team and retail results, with super, WorkCover and annual leave. This is a full-time, permanent position.
