About the role

Ace of Fades is a professional barbershop in Coburg offering men's haircuts, fades, beard trimming, shaving, styling and grooming. They are after an experienced barber or hairdresser to join the team on a permanent full-time basis, working 38 hours per week. The salary sits at around 80,000 dollars per year plus superannuation. Day to day, the role covers consulting with clients on styles and grooming preferences, cutting and shaping hair with scissors, clippers and razors, performing fades, beard trims and shaves, and carrying out colouring, bleaching or straightening where needed. Washing, conditioning and scalp treatments are also part of the work, along with advising clients on care and products. The successful applicant keeps tools and work areas clean and sanitised, manages appointments, and helps monitor stock. A hairdressing qualification or equivalent experience is expected, plus strong cutting, fading and beard grooming skills. Good communication, attention to detail and the ability to work solo or in a team round out what they want.
