Day to day work includes cutting for both women and men with scissors, clippers and razors, plus chemical services such as colour, bleach and perming. Staff also shampoo hair, condition scalps, advise clients on hair care and products, book appointments, take payments and keep work areas clean and sanitised. The shop wants confident scissor skills, in-depth knowledge of colouring and chemical work, and good communication to build lasting client relationships. Pay starts from 80,000 a year plus superannuation, with uncapped commissions, bonuses and incentives on top.
