About the role

M8 Cutz operates two salons at Centro Colonnades in Noarlunga Centre, offering professional hair styling for men and women. They are after two full-time barbers or hairdressers to work 38 hours a week, with days and times to be discussed and weekend work on Saturday and Sunday included. The role covers cutting, trimming, colouring and shaping hair, along with shampooing, conditioning, bleaching and chemical work such as perms and keratin straightening. Beard and moustache trimming, shaving and both traditional and contemporary styles are part of the job. Staff also analyse clients' hair, recommend styles and treatments, manage appointments and records, handle payments and sell hair care products. Training and mentoring of junior staff is expected, as is helping keep the salon clean and welcoming. The pay is 79,500 to 100,000 dollars a year plus superannuation. Applicants need a Certificate III with training or a Certificate IV, plus at least three years of experience in Australia or overseas. Full work rights are required.
