About the role

Dr Edi's Barbershop is an established walk-in shop in Burnie, Tasmania, looking for an experienced barber to join the team. They run a welcoming service offering professional haircuts, styling and beard work. The role covers consulting with customers on their preferences, cutting and styling with scissors, clippers and razors, and delivering fades, tapered cuts and both traditional and contemporary styles. Beard and moustache trimming, shaping and shaving services are part of the day, along with advising on hair care and products, keeping tools and workstations clean, and processing payments. They are after someone with a Certificate III in Barbering or Hairdressing or substantial relevant experience, strong scissor and clipper skills, and clear communication. Availability to work a roster that includes weekends is needed. On offer is an annual salary of $80,000 to $85,000 based on skills and experience, plus superannuation, full-time hours and a supportive team. Visa sponsorship may be available for the right candidate, subject to eligibility.
