About the role

Barber Industries in Orange is after a skilled hairdresser to join their team full-time, starting immediately. The shop focuses on quality men's haircuts, delivering both contemporary and vintage styles along with traditional wet shaves. The role covers cutting, trimming, styling and shaping hair to each client's preferences. Day to day you will consult with clients about their needs, advise on suitable cuts, styles and colour based on hair type and features, and carry out shampooing, conditioning and drying. Colour work is part of the job, including checking for any dye sensitivities or allergies beforehand. You will use a range of styling tools such as straighteners, curling irons, rollers, dryers and hot combs, and keep all tools clean and sterilised to meet health and safety standards. Operating the register when needed is also expected. They want at least three years of experience, the ability to stand for long periods and work under pressure, strong communication and multilingual skills. Pay runs from 70,000 to 90,000 plus super, with promotion from within.
