Barber, full-time

About the role

They are after a full-time barber to join their Brookvale shop, working with a men's grooming clientele. Day to day involves cutting, trimming and shaping hair with clippers, scissors and razors, plus fades, line-ups and contemporary men's styles. The role also covers beard and moustache trimming, shaping and grooming, along with shaves. Basic colouring and toning suited to barbershop clients is part of the mix, as is consulting with clients to recommend styles for their hair type. Keeping the workstation clean and sanitising tools is expected, and the barber helps with bookings, payments and general shop operations while promoting grooming products. The shop wants at least 3 years of experience, gained in Australia or overseas, and a Certificate III with 2 years on-the-job training or a Certificate IV. Applicants need Australian citizenship, permanent residency or full work rights. This is a permanent role paying between 79,500 and 89,500 dollars a year.
