Barbering apprentice

About the role

Kings Domain Barber Shop is taking on apprentices to complete a Certificate III in Barbering, with the qualification achievable in 18 months or less. No previous experience is needed, just a willingness to learn and work as part of a team. Applicants must currently live in Melbourne and hold full working rights. Founded 10 years ago in South Yarra, the business now runs eight shops across Melbourne including Prahran, Richmond, Collingwood, Armadale, Rialto Towers, Collins Street and Port Melbourne, plus an Academy in Collingwood opened in 2021. Apprentices receive hands-on training from experienced barbers and educators, work alongside the team, and attend the Academy once a week. Day to day duties include preparing and maintaining the shop, greeting clients, taking bookings in person and on the phone, delivering basin and station service, preparing drinks, and processing payments through the point of sale system. They are after someone reliable, punctual, self-motivated and a clear communicator. Pay ranges from 24,528 to 45,000 per year.
