Senior barber

About the role

Kings Domain Barber Shop is after a senior barber to join its team in Melbourne. The business blends traditional barbering with modern hairdressing and now runs eight locations across the city, including Prahran, South Yarra, Richmond, Collingwood, Port Melbourne and sites in the CBD. Pay is an hourly rate plus commission, listed as $48,000 to $85,000 per year, and comes with an employee discount and professional development support. As a senior barber the role involves leading by example, giving clear direction and encouragement to other team members, keeping juniors busy, assisting with staff training and helping with day to day tasks set by management. Barbers are expected to educate clients on products and styling, build rapport with everyone in the chair and keep a clean, tidy work station. There are also chances to take part in media events and photoshoots, plus access to the Kings Domain Academy. They want someone reliable, friendly, self-motivated, punctual and a strong communicator. Applicants must currently be based in Melbourne.
