First year hairdressing apprentice

About the role

Artistry House of Hair, Beauty and Wellness in Camberwell is after a motivated first year hairdressing apprentice to join their growing team. This is a full-time role for someone ready to start a career in hairdressing while completing their qualification. The apprentice will work alongside experienced stylists and gradually build skills on the salon floor. Training covers shampooing, treatments and blow-drying, colour application, styling and finishing, client consultation and customer service, salon operations and product knowledge, and assisting senior stylists. Over time the apprentice can build their own clientele. Previous salon experience is not essential: the shop values the right attitude, work ethic and willingness to learn. They are looking for someone friendly, reliable, punctual, well presented and eager to grow long term. On offer is ongoing hands-on training, support from senior stylists, work on real clients, a modern salon environment and an employee discount. Pay runs from 18 to 25 dollars an hour.
