About the role

Respect operates Fred French Home, an aged care residence in Newstead, a suburb of Launceston. They are after a hairdresser to provide services to residents in a friendly aged care setting. The role can be structured as part-time employment or a subcontractor arrangement, depending on the applicant's preference and suitability. Expect around two days per week, roughly 16 hours. Newstead is a quiet residential area close to shops, cafes and parks, making it a convenient place to work. Respect is a not-for-profit and the largest aged care provider across regional Australia. Applicants need a hairdressing qualification or relevant industry experience, along with experience delivering services in a professional setting. A friendly, respectful and resident-focused approach is important, as is the ability to work independently and manage appointments. A genuine interest in working with older people and a current National Police Certificate are required.
