About the role

Glam Looks Hair and Beauty Salon in Greenway, ACT is looking for a qualified hairdresser to join the team full-time. The salon offers a range of hairdressing and beauty services and works to deliver quality service in a welcoming, professional setting. Day to day the role covers cutting and shaping hair with scissors, clippers and razors, colouring, straightening and perming using chemical techniques, and styling that includes dreadlocks, braids and hair extensions where needed. The hairdresser will also shave and trim beards and moustaches, care for wigs and hairpieces, consult with clients on hair care and suitable styles, book appointments and take payments, and keep the work area and tools clean and sanitised. Applicants need a Certificate III in Hairdressing or equivalent plus at least one year of relevant experience, along with sound product knowledge and strong customer service skills. Pay runs from 70,000 to 80,000 dollars per year.
