About the role

Glam Looks Hair and Beauty Salon in Greenway, ACT is looking for a qualified and experienced hairdresser to join their team full-time. The salon offers a range of hair and beauty services and works from a welcoming, professional environment. Day to day, the role covers cutting and shaping hair with scissors, clippers and razors, colouring, straightening and perming using chemical techniques, and styling that can include dreadlocks, braids and hair extensions. Staff also shave and trim beards and moustaches, shampoo and condition hair and scalps, advise clients on products and styles, book appointments and take payments. Keeping the work area clean and instruments sanitised is part of the job. Applicants need a Certificate III in Hairdressing or equivalent plus at least one year of relevant experience, along with solid skills across cutting, colouring, styling and treatments. Good communication, strong hygiene standards and the ability to work in a busy salon are expected. Pay is 70,000 to 80,000 dollars per year.
