About the role

JMD Hair Art in Ballajura is after a qualified and experienced hairdresser to join their professional team on a full-time basis. The role covers consulting with clients on hair condition and suitable cuts, colours and treatments, then cutting, trimming, shaping and styling using professional techniques. Colour work is a big part of the job, including colouring, bleaching, highlights, tinting, balayage and colour correction. The successful applicant will also carry out conditioning, scalp and keratin treatments, shampoo and prepare clients, and recommend suitable retail products. Other duties include managing appointments, keeping client records, maintaining salon cleanliness and staying current with trends. Applicants need a relevant hairdressing qualification and at least one year of full-time experience, along with strong communication and customer service skills. The salary is $75,000 to $85,000 per annum plus superannuation depending on skills and experience. The shop offers a supportive environment with room for long-term career growth.
