About the role

Kathmandu Beauty and Hair Salon in Gungahlin, Canberra is after a qualified hairdresser with strong barbering skills to join their team full-time. The salon serves a diverse client base with hairdressing, barbering, styling, grooming and beauty services. Day to day the role covers client consultations, precision cutting with scissors, clippers and razors, fades, taper cuts, beard trimming, moustache shaping and shaving. There is also general hairdressing work including colouring, straightening, perming and other chemical treatments, plus specialist styles such as braids and extensions where needed. The successful applicant will maintain salon hygiene, manage appointments and client records, process payments and help grow the customer base. They want a Certificate III in Hairdressing, a barbering qualification or an equivalent overseas qualification, along with 1 to 2 years of professional experience. Flexibility across weekdays and weekends is expected. Pay is a full-time salary of 75,000 to 85,000 dollars per year. The shop offers a supportive team and a modern, welcoming space.
