About the role

Empire Barbershop in Oakleigh, Melbourne is after a senior barber to join their full-time team. The shop was named Australia's Best Barbershop Business of the Year 2025 and is growing quickly. They are looking for someone with at least three years of barbering experience who is skilled in fades, scissor work, styling and beard grooming, and who builds genuine relationships with clients. Reliability, confidence and pride in the craft matter here, and leadership or mentorship experience is considered a bonus. Pay is above award at 37 to 45 dollars per hour, plus commission and tips. Barbers work with a steady flow of loyal, repeat clients. The shop offers mentorship from an award-winning team, ongoing education through workshops, seminars and guest educators, and a supportive, creative culture.
