Senior hairdresser, full-time

About the role

Century Barbers in Queanbeyan is after an experienced senior hairdresser or barber to join their established shop on a full-time basis. The successful candidate will work without supervision, handling client consultations, scissor and clipper cuts, colour work including foils, and beard trims. Experience with a cut throat razor and wet shaves is preferred but not essential provided the candidate is willing to learn. Day to day duties also include answering phone calls, collecting payments, keeping the workplace clean and hygienic, and building and retaining a client base. They would like someone fully qualified with at least a Certificate III in Hairdressing, though applicants without qualifications who have at least three years of relevant experience can apply. In return the shop offers good working conditions, free street parking, a base salary of up to 80,000 dollars plus superannuation, a monthly bonus discussed at interview, and regular training courses. Visa sponsorship can be arranged for the right candidate.
