Senior hairdresser

About the role

Century Barbers has run in Queanbeyan for over 13 years and is moving to a larger location. With a strong reputation for quality cuts, colours and other services, they are now after another senior hairdresser on a full-time basis. The successful candidate should be able to work without supervision across client consultations, scissor and clipper cuts, colouring including foils, and beard trims. Skill with a cut-throat razor and wet shaves is preferred but not essential, provided the person is willing to learn. Other duties include retaining and building a client base, answering phone calls, taking payments and keeping the workplace clean and hygienic. Ideally applicants hold at least a Certificate III in Hairdressing, though those without qualifications who have at least three years of relevant experience can apply. In return the shop offers good working conditions, free street parking, a base salary of up to 80,000 dollars plus superannuation, a monthly bonus discussed at interview, and regular training courses.
