About the role

Guilles Salon in Newtown is after an experienced senior hairdresser to join their team, with a ready-made clientele so the successful person is busy from day one rather than spending months building a book. The role can be full-time or part-time, with flexible scheduling built around the individual's life. The salon offers ongoing education to keep staff across trends and product knowledge, and works with premium brands including O&M colour plus Davines and Mr Smith for styling and retail. They describe a warm, inclusive, LGBTQI+ friendly team. Pay is above-award at 35 to 40 dollars per hour with a generous commission structure on top. Applicants should bring at least 5 years of hairdressing experience along with advanced cutting and colouring skills and a strong technical base. Dry cutting, curl and razor experience is a bonus rather than a requirement. A positive attitude, genuine commitment to the client experience and a celebration of diversity are valued.
