About the role

The Loft Hair Salon is a high end, inclusive salon established in Mermaid Beach 17 years ago, with a loyal local following. They are after a full-time senior stylist with at least two years of experience who enjoys colour, styling and hair transformations. The role covers cutting, styling and colour work including foiling, gloss and balayage, all tailored to each guest. Stylists consult with guests to plan their desired look, maintain a professional standard, stay current with trends and attend education and team building events. Social media engagement is part of the job. Pay runs from 28 to 37 dollars an hour, with reachable commissions that most stylists achieve weekly. The salon is closed on all public holidays and over the Christmas to New Year period. Perks include ongoing product and technique education, team building days such as Melbourne Cup day, a Christmas party and an annual team trip. They want a team-oriented, customer focused stylist keen to build a career and keep upskilling.
