About the role

Desi Look Hair Salon in Tamworth is looking for an experienced barber and hairdresser to join a busy salon team. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys hair care, grooming and strong customer service. Day to day work covers cutting with scissors, clippers and razors, colouring, straightening and perming with chemical solutions, plus shaving and trimming beards and moustaches. Staff also style hair into dreadlocks and braids, add extensions, and clean, colour, cut and style wigs and hairpieces when needed. Other duties include advising clients on hair care and products, shampooing, conditioning scalps, sanitising tools, booking appointments and taking payments. They are after someone with a relevant qualification or two years of trade experience, sound knowledge of current cutting, colouring and chemical techniques, and reliable, well-presented, punctual habits. The pay is 80,000 to 85,000 dollars per year. Visa sponsorship is available for the right candidate.
