About the role

HMB Barbers is hiring a full-time apprentice barber for their Gladstone shop. HMB operates 17 stores across Queensland, offering a consistent walk-in barbershop experience to local communities. The role suits apprentices at any level, people with some hairdressing or barbering experience, or those new to the trade who want to learn. Apprentices develop their technical skills while delivering services suited to their training level under the guidance of qualified barbers. Duties include building confidence across haircuts, fades, beard trims and shaves, greeting clients warmly, managing waitlists, processing POS transactions, recommending retail products, and keeping the workstation clean and stocked. Coursework and workplace training are part of the role, with the shop partnering with 4BARBERS Education for upskilling. They highlight career pathways towards becoming a master barber, manager, educator or shop owner. Pay ranges from 22.50 to 45 dollars an hour depending on level. Incentives and bonuses are also on offer, along with a friendly team environment.
