About the role

Barbers R Us in Atwell is looking for an experienced full-time barber to join their team. The shop offers a range of modern and traditional barbering services, and the successful applicant will consult with clients and advise on styles, hair care and grooming products. Day to day work covers scissor and clipper cutting, skin fades, taper fades, line-ups and beard fades, along with beard and moustache shaping, hot towel shaves, facial grooming and eyebrow trimming. There is also shampooing, scalp treatments, colouring, straightening and chemical services where needed, plus braids, dreadlocks and occasional extensions or hair systems. Other duties include managing appointments, processing payments, keeping the space clean and sanitising tools, and capturing occasional photos and short clips for social media. Applicants need a Certificate III or higher with at least two years of on-the-job training, or three years of industry experience. Pay is 76,000 to 80,000 dollars per year depending on experience.
