About the role

Care Cuts brings professional hairdressing directly to residents of aged care homes, and they are after a skilled and caring stylist to join them on a casual basis. The focus is on seniors: providing fresh haircuts along with friendly conversation to lift spirits and support dignity and confidence. This is hands-on work delivered in person at aged care facilities. Pay runs from 31 to 40 dollars per hour. Around two years of experience as a hair stylist is preferred. To be eligible, candidates need COVID-19 vaccination, a National Police Check and an Australian hairdressing certificate. Australian work authorisation is required. The role suits someone who values self-care and understands the difference a good haircut can make to a person's wellbeing.
