About the role

Care-Cuts provides professional hairdressing services directly to residents in aged care homes, focusing on dignity, self-esteem and connection for seniors. They are after a skilled and compassionate hairdresser or barber who enjoys building rapport with older clients and understands the value a good haircut brings to wellbeing. This is a casual role based in the Katoomba area, working in person at aged care facilities. Pay is set at 37 dollars per hour. To be eligible, candidates need a current COVID-19 vaccination, a National Police Check and an Australian hairdressing certificate. Around two years of experience as a hair stylist is preferred. Applicants must have Australian work authorisation. The work suits someone patient and personable who wants their cutting skills to make a genuine difference to people's daily lives.
