Hairdresser and barber, full-time

About the role

MM Barbers in Mornington on the Mornington Peninsula is after an experienced and reliable hairdresser and barber to join their team full-time. This is a permanent role covering 38 ordinary hours per week, with pay set between 82,000 and 85,000 dollars per year plus superannuation, depending on skills and experience. Overtime and penalty rates are paid under the Hair and Beauty Industry Award 2020. Day to day work includes consulting with clients on styles and grooming, cutting and styling with scissors, clippers and razors, skin fades, traditional and modern cuts, scissor work, and trimming and shaping beards and moustaches. Shampooing, care advice, tool sanitising and keeping the work area clean are also part of the job, along with managing appointments and delivering friendly service. Applicants need a relevant qualification and at least two years of experience, with strong skills in men's cutting, fades, scissor work and beard grooming. Good communication, reliability, and availability to work weekends as required are expected.
