About the role

Baaz Productions, trading as Desi Barber Toongabbie, is a busy community salon known for good service, modern technique and a welcoming feel. They are after a talented full-time hairdresser to join a growing team, in a role that also carries some leadership and mentoring. The successful stylist will manage their own bookings, serving a mostly female clientele with cuts, colour, styling and specialised services. Duties include keeping the salon clean and presentable, following health and safety protocols, recommending retail products and advising clients on hair care. Mentoring junior stylists with guidance, training and feedback is part of the job, along with staying across current trends and techniques. Applicants need at least two years of local professional experience cutting, colouring and styling all hair types, plus a Certificate III in Hairdressing or equivalent (preferred). Experience with colour correction, advanced colouring or specialised treatments is a bonus. Strong communication and a genuine passion for client service are valued. Pay is 79,000 to 89,000 dollars a year plus super.
