About the role

Malabar Barber and Hairdressing in Matraville is after a skilled, experienced hairdresser who can work confidently and independently. They handle both women's and men's hair, covering colouring, fades, face shaves, beard trims, scissor cuts, kids' haircuts and hair art. The role involves cutting, styling and grooming, along with client consultations and personalised service. Hair treatments such as colouring, straightening and conditioning are part of the work, as well as keeping the salon hygienic and compliant with workplace safety standards. The successful applicant will manage appointments, advise clients on styles and hair care, recommend products, and mentor or train staff when needed. They want someone with Certificate III and IV in Hairdressing, or equivalent experience including RPL, and at least two years of recent hairdressing experience. Applicants need full-time working rights in Australia and strong English communication. This is a full-time position paying $79,423 to $80,000 per year plus super.
