Senior barber, full-time chair

About the role

UPTOWN Barbers is a premium barbershop group with three Sydney CBD locations and close to 4,000 five-star reviews. They are after an experienced senior barber for their flagship shop at 31 George Street in The Rocks. This is a busy, high-end setting serving corporate, professional and international clients, so services need to be technically precise and completed within a 30 to 45 minute schedule. Day to day covers consultations, men's cuts and styling, skin and mid to high fades, scissor-over-comb and clipper-over-comb work, beard trimming and sculpting, hot-towel straight-razor shaves and product recommendations. Tool hygiene must meet NSW health requirements. Applicants need a Certificate III in Hairdressing or Barbering, or a recognised overseas equivalent, plus at least five years of post-qualification barbering experience and strong spoken English. The role is permanent full-time with a base salary of $80,000 plus 12 percent super, paid weekly. Shortlisted applicants complete a practical trade test at interview.
