Empire Barbershop in Oakleigh, Melbourne is after a senior barber to join their team full-time. The shop was named Australia's Best Barbershop Business of the Year 2025 and is growing quickly. They are looking for someone with at least three years of experience who is confident with fades, scissor work, styling and beard grooming, and who builds genuine relationships with clients. Reliability and pride in the craft matter here, and any leadership or mentorship experience is viewed as a strong plus. Pay is above award at $37 to $45 per hour, with commission and tips on top. The shop offers a steady flow of loyal clients along with ongoing education through workshops, seminars and guest educators. Staff also get the chance to take part in national expos and creative shoots. The team culture is described as supportive, creative and driven.
