About the role

Verve Barbering has moved and expanded into larger premises on Crown Street, Surry Hills, and is after a skilled, creative barber to deliver premium, appointment-based services. This is not a quick walk-in shop: they run a full range of services and value building and retaining a loyal clientele. The role suits someone charismatic who connects with clients from all walks of life. They offer weekly advanced barbering education, both in-house and external, and are investing in content creation, photoshoots and social media, so comfort being on camera and representing the brand online is valued. Applicants need modern clipper and scissor skills, beard shaping, cut-throat razor work, and a willingness to learn scalp treatments and chemical services. A minimum of 3 years on the floor is required. Days are Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday plus alternating Mondays and Wednesdays, with a late night Thursday until 8pm. Base pay is 36 to 38 dollars an hour plus service commission, retail commission, bonuses and weekly tips. Visa sponsorship is available for suitable candidates.
