About the role

Hair Illusions is a non-surgical hair replacement salon in Capalaba, Brisbane, established for nearly 15 years with a loyal clientele. They are after a qualified hairdresser or senior barber to join their team on a casual basis, working around 26 hours per week across negotiable weekday hours plus alternate Saturdays. The role involves precision cutting, styling and blending, with a focus on shorter hairstyles, and learning to fit, cut and style hair replacement systems. Full specialist training is provided, so prior hair replacement experience is not needed. The work centres on compassionate, discreet client care for people experiencing hair loss. They want someone with substantial practical experience, strong cutting and blending skills, a warm and patient manner, and the ability to work independently as their specialist skills develop. The starting rate is $35 per hour, subject to award entitlements, with scope to earn more as competency grows. An initial paid training and assessment period applies.
