Senior or skilled barber

About the role

HMB Barbers is hiring in Mackay and runs a network of 17 stores across Queensland, offering a consistent walk-in barbershop experience. They are after a skilled senior barber or skilled apprentice who wants a long-term career. The role centres on delivering high-quality barbering services including haircuts, beard trims and shaves with efficiency and attention to detail. Day to day you would greet clients warmly, manage waitlists, follow the customer journey standards and keep a clean, sanitised and well-stocked workstation. You would also process POS transactions, promote retail products through consultative selling, follow WHS requirements and help with stock control and promotions. Supporting and mentoring junior team members is part of the job. HMB has partnered with 4BARBERS Education for training and upskilling, and points to career pathways toward master barber, manager, educator or shop ownership. Pay is described as competitive with incentives and bonuses. Full-time, part-time and casual positions are available to suit different lifestyles.
