About the role

Sonder Men's Grooming is after an experienced senior barber or men's hairdresser for their Mona Vale studio on Sydney's Northern Beaches. The shop is part of a premium group with eight locations across Sydney and Melbourne, and the Mona Vale studio is high volume with an established client base and a modern fit-out. This is a full-time permanent role of 38 hours per week over five days, including weekend rotation. The pay is $79,500 to $81,000 per year base plus superannuation, plus a commission structure on service and product sales. Day to day work covers the full range of men's cutting: clipper work, fades, scissor cuts, layering and graduation, plus beard trimming and shaping. The senior will also consult with clients, recommend products, maintain hygiene standards and mentor junior team members. They want a Certificate III in Barbering or Hairdressing or at least three years in the industry, with a minimum of two years in men's barbering. Weekly whole-team training and one-on-one skills development are offered.
