About the role

Broadway Barber Shop Sydney, based in Ultimo, is looking for a skilled and experienced hairdresser to join their team full-time. They are after someone who can consult with clients on their styling needs, then cut, trim, shape and style hair to a high standard. The role also covers colouring, bleaching, highlighting and hair treatments, along with shampooing and conditioning. Day to day the hairdresser uses and maintains professional tools, advises clients on suitable styles and hair care products, and keeps the work area clean and hygienic. Managing appointments and providing strong customer service are part of the job, as is keeping up with current techniques and meeting workplace health and safety requirements. The shop wants at least one year of relevant hairdressing experience, strong practical cutting and colouring skills, good communication, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a busy environment. Pay is 75,000 to 85,000 per year plus superannuation.
