Senior or skilled barber

About the role

HMB Barbers is hiring in Gladstone. The shop is part of a network of 17 stores across Queensland that offer a consistent walk-in barbershop experience. They are after a skilled senior barber or skilled apprentice who wants a long-term career rather than just a job. The role focuses on productive chair time delivering haircuts, beard trims and shaves with efficiency and attention to detail, alongside warm customer service, managing waitlists and following customer journey standards. Barbers keep their workstation clean, sanitised and stocked, process POS transactions, promote retail products through consultative selling and help with stock control and promotions. Mentoring junior team members is also part of the job. Pay runs from $40 to $50 per hour on a casual basis, with incentives and bonuses on offer. HMB has partnered with 4BARBERS Education for training and upskilling, and provides pathways towards master barber, manager, educator or shop ownership. Full-time, part-time and casual positions are available.
