About the role

HMB Barbers is hiring a senior or skilled barber for their Townsville store. The company runs 17 shops across Queensland, offering a walk-in barbershop experience. The role focuses on productive chair time and covers haircuts, beard trims and shaves delivered with efficiency and attention to detail. Barbers greet clients warmly, manage waitlists and follow the customer journey standards. Other duties include keeping a clean, sanitised and well-stocked workstation, processing POS transactions, promoting retail products through consultative selling and mentoring junior team members. Staff also help with stock control, promotions and general store operations, and follow WHS requirements. Pay ranges from 30 to 45 dollars an hour, plus incentives and bonuses. HMB partners with 4BARBERS Education for training and upskilling, and offers career pathways towards master barber, manager, educator or shop ownership. Full-time, part-time and casual positions are available. They are after a skilled senior barber or skilled apprentice wanting a long-term career in a friendly shop environment.
